Zakat Information

Everything you need to know about giving Zakat through Altisnet Global — eligibility, calculation, and where it goes.

What is Zakat?

Zakat is one of the Five Pillars of Islam — an obligatory annual charity that purifies wealth. Muslims who meet the nisab threshold are required to give 2.5% of their qualifying wealth to those in need.

It is not merely a donation — it is a right of the poor over the wealth of the rich, and an act of worship that purifies the giver's soul and strengthens the community.

Is My Donation Zakat-Eligible?

Yes. Altisnet Global is structured to receive and distribute Zakat in accordance with Islamic guidelines. Our Zakat funds are distributed to the eight categories of recipients (Asnaf) as defined in the Quran (Surah At-Tawbah 9:60).

1The poor (Al-Fuqara)
2The needy (Al-Masakin)
3Zakat administrators
4Those whose hearts are to be reconciled
5Those in bondage
6Those in debt
7In the cause of Allah
8The stranded traveller
