What is Zakat?
Zakat is one of the Five Pillars of Islam — an obligatory annual charity that purifies wealth. Muslims who meet the nisab threshold are required to give 2.5% of their qualifying wealth to those in need.
It is not merely a donation — it is a right of the poor over the wealth of the rich, and an act of worship that purifies the giver's soul and strengthens the community.
Is My Donation Zakat-Eligible?
Yes. Altisnet Global is structured to receive and distribute Zakat in accordance with Islamic guidelines. Our Zakat funds are distributed to the eight categories of recipients (Asnaf) as defined in the Quran (Surah At-Tawbah 9:60).
How to Designate Zakat
When donating on our website, simply select 'Zakat' from the designation dropdown in the donation form. Your donation will be allocated exclusively to Zakat-eligible recipients and programmes.
